Heather has recently moved to Boulder from Honolulu, Hawaii where she attended the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. After four years and over 1000 hours of clinical training, she received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is also certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM.
In 2019, Heather studied in China attending clinic rounds in two different hospitals in ChengDu and Guangzhou. During her time in Hawaii, Heather studied under various teachers, two of whom became great mentors: a Hawaiian Lomi Healer, and an acupuncture/meditation teacher.
While in school, she interned for two years at her teacher’s community clinic where she underwent further in-depth training in pulse diagnosis, a skill she is very passionate about.
Her intention is to help patients overcome difficulties, live balanced lives and be pain-free. She is highly motivated to continue learning and growing as a holistic practitioner so she can best help her patients thrive in all areas of their lives.
When Heather is not in the clinic, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, meditation, yoga, painting, and playing piano.
